OUR PARIS RECOMENDATIONS
Difficult as it may be to leave the comfort of our properties, we suggest that you immerse yourself in la vie quotidienne of the French capital city. Saunter down the pretty streets, stop for a coffee or a glass of vine in one of the many cafes and stroll through Paris’ many parks and gardens. The Unesco protected Jardin des Tuileries with its’ thousands upon thousands of flowers is a sure hit. Once a ceramic clay roof factory, this famous garden is in fact the oldest one in Paris.
For a mixture of great shops, divine food, and a healthy dose of Parisian cool, head to Marais. Visit Isabel Marant’s flagship store, and then pop into A.P.C. Don’t miss Musée Carnavalet where you can learn all about Paris’ turbulent and amazing history. This is the city’s oldest municipal museum and the access to the permanent collection is gratuit.
If you are an art lover, visits to the Louvre, Centre Pompidou and Musee d-Orsay are a must, but if you are visiting Paris during spring or summertime you should also make your way to Île de la Grande Jatte. This spectacular oasis, an island at the doorstep of Paris has inspired artists like Monet, Van Gogh and Seurat.
